Do you want to start photographing beautiful moments from your life? Or maybe photography is no longer unfamiliar to you, but you want to improve in this area? We'll tell you how to take sharp photos that will look great after printing.
When striving to get sharp photos, keep in mind several aspects:
- Proper camera settings
- Using a tripod
- Clean lens
- Burst shooting
Proper camera settings are key. Here are the most important ones:
- Shutter speed – the rule says that the shorter the shutter speed, the greater the chance that the photo will be sharp.
- Aperture setting – for a blurred background, the ideal setting would be e.g. f/2.8 or f/3.2. For a sharp photo, a better setting would be f/8 or f/11.
- ISO sensitivity – the higher the ISO sensitivity, the greater the chance that photo details will be blurry.
- Image stabilization – a useful feature when the exposure time is long, but remember that this feature performs differently on each device, so it's worth checking if it suits your needs.
A tripod enhances stabilization, which is key for sharp photos, while burst shooting increases the chance of catching a good moment, especially when we plan to capture a moving object. When it comes to photo printing, the sharper the photo, the better. This way the photograph will look great. So when preparing photos for printing, pay special attention to whether your photos are not excessively blurry.
