Photography can capture fleeting moments that you can return to many times. According to etymology, it means drawing with light, and indeed it is, because it is a set of techniques whose purpose is to record a permanent image using light. There are many fields of photography, from landscape photography, through social photography, to advertising or fashion photography.
How to take good photos?
American photographer Ansel Adams once said that "the most important element of the camera is 12 inches behind it." Although he was referring to large format cameras at the time, nowadays we can interpret his words differently, meaning that we should photograph skillfully.
To take good photos, contrary to appearances, expensive, professional cameras are not needed at all. A smartphone camera will be sufficient because it's the photographer who takes the photo, not the camera. More important than equipment will be light, composition, arrangement, and editing. That's why if we want to have nice photo prints, it's also worth finding professional photo developing.
When taking photos, light plays a key role. Natural sunlight is best, which will achieve properly saturated colors, which can be difficult to achieve with artificial lighting. Regarding composition, it's worth remembering the rule of thirds, which says to place the most important points of the photo in its thirds. Speaking of arrangement, it's worth keeping in mind all the elements visible in the photo, including the background. An interesting arrangement of a cup of coffee surrounded by beautiful lilacs or magnolias won't impress if a coffee stain is visible next to the cup. In turn, photo editing allows you to correct certain parameters, such as sharpness, white balance, contrast, and exposure.
